Fresh out of college, a friend called. His Jersey City apartment was open for the next few months. It was mine if I agreed to find a place together when he returned. So, I followed my childhood dream and headed for the East Coast. A year later, I would cross the Hudson River and officially make New York City home. I walked dogs, waited tables, worked in TV and film production, and taught private music lessons to French kids. Eventually, I followed the opportunities and became an entertainer for babies and toddlers of the city’s elite. I stumbled through music projects until finally landing on PushMethod. In the end, I quit my jobs and embraced a nomadic existence. But NYC remained a regular stop. Hoodies for the Homeless always brought me back. Just before the pandemic hit, I decided to land again. I guess there’s no escape from this place.
